Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Making Dental Care More Affordable for Eligible Canadians

At Dentistry on Ridgeway, we proudly welcome patients covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). This federal program is designed to help make oral health care more affordable for Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance . Whether you’re a senior, an adult, a child under 18, or a person with a disability, we are here to help you navigate your coverage and receive the care you need. We serve patients throughout Welland, and the Niagara region.

What Is the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federally funded program administered by Health Canada, with Sun Life managing claims and payments on behalf of the government . The plan helps ease financial barriers to dental care for eligible Canadian residents with an annual adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 who do not have access to private dental insurance . Since its launch, the CDCP has helped millions of Canadians access essential dental care—many for the first time in years
